叶肃（姜潮 饰）、日韩张一闲（蒋雪鸣 饰）和黄大中（王厦 饰）是大学时代的好友，日韩彼此之间感情十分要好。毕业后，三人面临着他们各自的选择，最终，他们决定留在竞争激烈但是机会繁多的大城市，希望能够依靠他们的努力和拼搏为自己闯出一片辉煌的天地。就这样，三人踏上了漫漫求职路，在经历了无数次挫折和失败之后才发现，想要在这里找到一个职位发光发热是如此的不容易。然而，找到工作仅仅只是一个开始，少得可怜的工资和加不完的班时时刻刻都在打击着这一群年青人对于未来的期望。意外接二连三的发生，叶肃感情受创又丢了工作，张一闲和黄大中也恢复了“自由身”，三人一拍即合，决定走上创业之路。
