夜深人静，西游荒郊野外，西游以闹鬼著称的“九弯十八拐”，阿坚和汉声两名司机驾驶卡车送货途经于此，突然在野地看见一个背着大口袋的可疑人影。二人怀疑有人弃尸，正待细看之时竟发现一名身穿白衣的女子张着双手向他们飘来，二人吓得连忙逃走。此时此刻，该女子不知自己已经被人杀害，变成冤魂，少顷便被鬼差带到阴曹地府，见识了各种奇形怪状之鬼，并最终明了现在的状态，不禁愁上心头。另一方面，阿坚与汉声对昨夜怪事念念不忘，他们相约次日来荒野一探究竟。谁知尸体没有找到，却被女鬼误认是杀害自己的凶手。当晚，怀着仇恨的女鬼找上门来……

The film starts with verse 67, “O somma luce…” and continues to the end. “O Somma luce” recalls the first words uttered by Empedocles in Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s 1987 The Death of Empedocles—“O himmlisch Licht!…” (O heavenly light!).
