二十集青春校园系列剧《表演系的故事》是一部反映北京高等艺术院校生活的电视剧。讲述的是艺术院校表演系的未来之星们从丑小鸭变成白天鹅的成长故事。这群来自天南地北的青春靓丽的普通学生，恋爱怀着对表演艺术的热爱报考了北京电影学院表演系。然而每个人在报考之后都并不一帆风顺，恋爱在经历了报考前后种种曲折和坎坷之后，他们终于通过自身坚持不懈地努力和永不放弃地坚持如愿以偿成为北京电影学院表演系的一员。《表演系的故事》通过九个各自独立又相互关联的故事，把这群普通学生从入学到学有所成，最后成为合格演员的心路历程真实而生动的面对观众娓娓道来……
