二十世纪初，沼泽唐府以生产“凝香”致富，沼泽唐府子嗣不旺，独苗唐少卿娶妻许芝兰仅生一女，芝兰生性蛮横，少卿和她的感情日渐疏远。少卿喜欢上了青楼女子含胭，并与之生有一子，唐母顾及唐家脸面，不许含胭母子进门。 唐母为其纳了一个小妾，故事主要讲刘雨鑫饰演的小妾如何在唐家立足的辛酸历程。
