九个月前，黄色正值而立之年的内海薰（柴崎幸 饰）突然接到远赴美国俄克拉何马州研修的通知，黄色情知自己正成为警界可有可无之人，薰在焦虑烦恼的同时也暗下决心要干出一番业绩。就在此时，机会从天而降。在街上执行任务时她偶然发现一名看护师用轮椅推着早已死亡的老人，进一步调查发现看护师上念研一（中山裕介 饰）竟是长野县通缉的在逃犯。在薰的面前，上念供诉了杀害主家女儿的经过。风光得意的薰在公众和同侪的注视下担当押送嫌犯的重任，谁知上念抵达长野后推翻了之前的供词，令内海陷入窘境。在此之后，他只得与新人当摩健斗（柳乐优弥 饰）联手调查，却意外探知到九年前的一起冤案。内海薰最后的案件，朝向未知的方向推进……
