迎接暑假来临闲来无事的高中生枫，在家附近一座红色大桥旁的破旧公寓，撞见同校的波多野行窃，才赫然发现，原来公寓里藏着一个独居儿童！只抱着一只布娃娃，睁着水汪汪大眼，不说话、也不吵不闹，不知道什么原因自己住在这个破旧之屋，波多野为他取名叫「MON」。两个高中女生当起小妈妈，瞒着所有人开始悄悄照顾他。某天，她们遇见小镇的儿童咨询处职员，才被告知，MON有可能是遭到儿童虐待、被亲生母亲放弃抚养……
