第三期 银河时空之石事件之后，西游象国在圣光之路大赛足球场即将举办全新闪电日本选拔，西游象国在获选的选手中，除了天马、剑城以及神童外，全是在其他学校首次踢球的运动选手，他们要如何整顿球队迎接世界的挑战呢？此队与剧场版《闪电十一人GO VS纸箱战机》的新生闪电日本队并无关系，是由黑岩监督亲自从日本挑选而组成的球队。除了雷门的三巨头外，其他八名都是从参加神圣之路的队伍的板凳里选出来，且八人均是踢足球的新手。目前新生闪电日本队没有板凳成员。在世界大赛中禁止使用化身（所以更别说极限和体了）。
