雪伦（文章 饰）和丹丹（刘芸 饰）是一对儿80后的小夫妻，春暖雪伦婚后为创业急需资金，春暖丹丹将母亲为他们在北京购买的婚房出售，资助雪伦，夫妻俩租住了四合院中的小平房暂时栖身。春节将至，雪伦远在黑龙江的父亲（张丰毅 饰）母亲（丛珊 饰）决意来北京和儿子一起过年，而丹丹在云南的母亲（蔡明 饰）一家恰巧也决定赴京度春节。因为丹丹当初瞒着母亲将房子出售，此时只好向现在的房主借住数日，以期向母亲隐瞒自己赞助雪伦的事实。双方的家长先后抵京，小夫妻总算瞒天过海隐藏了真相，然而这几位家长此次来京并非只为儿女，他们各有私事需要处理，在这个热闹的年关引发了诸多喜剧……
