回复 :钟泰然（马国明 饰）就读于临床心理治疗专业，毕业后成为了一名心理分析师，对于人性的阴暗和复杂了若指掌。曾秀怡（汤洛雯 饰）是钟泰然的女友，同时亦是一名心理分析师。在一场残暴而又可怕的凶杀案中，凶手卢健强（韦家雄 饰）被绳之于法，判处了终身监禁。然而事情并没有画上句号，案件中受害者的父亲，竟然驾车撞死了曾秀怡，只因为曾秀怡出具了报告，表示卢健强的心理状态和个性都非常单纯，并不像一个杀人犯。女友的死讯让钟泰然陷入了绝望和悲痛之中，他看到了卢健强的心理报告，发现女友所说句句属实，这也就意味着，从心理学的角度来说，卢健强不可能犯案，真正的凶手另有其人。

From all appearances, the death appears to be a suicide, but the pathologist determines that the man suffered a severe blow to the dead and may in fact have been unconscious when he died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Simon Bright's girlfriend, Laura Sharp, is nowhere to be found, but the death of the aging village Lothario and the attempted murder of another of her friends narrows the list of possible murderers somewhat. Barnaby is convinced that one of Laura's ex-lovers is responsible but given her rather active life, the question becomes which one?
