唐德宗元年，朝圣长安出现异象，朝圣道士预言黑蛟即将出世危害一方百姓，渔户经常用三畜三禽祭拜，却始终没有换来安定。这日河西一户吕姓书生（陈浩民饰）得到父亲应允，坐船东渡与白氏之女白瑛（李萌萌饰）去退婚，这时天气突现异象险些造成船毁人亡，惊险之余到达白家后却发现白瑛父亲在百花楼失踪，此次东行接连失利。百花楼内险象迭生，书生想要逃离之际，却遇到了上仙太白金星，被告知自己是白鹤上仙转世，前世今生黑蛟都是书生必须经历的劫难。
