熙熙攘攘的东京，岛国生活着对人生似乎没有任何主见的派遣教师皆川七海（黑木华 饰）。通过网络，岛国她与同为教师的鹤冈铁也（地曳豪 饰）相识，并走入婚姻殿堂。为了不让婚礼寒酸，她请来从事各种奇怪工作的网友安室行舛（绫野刚 饰）雇佣了虚假的亲朋好友。婚后不久，七海得知丈夫出轨的消息，而自己似乎也落入某种陷阱，被婆婆赶出家门。她无依无靠，倍感绝望。后经安室的介绍，她假扮亲友参加别人的婚礼赚钱，并在工作时认识了仿佛精灵般的女孩里中真白（Cocco 饰）。未过多久，安室为她带来一份收入不菲的工作，于是七海随之来到了一幢位于郊外的别墅担任女佣，在那里她意外地和真白重逢了……本片为2016年《电影旬报》十佳影片第六名。岩井俊二还将影片重新编辑制作成六集迷你剧集在电视台播放。

This film tells the story of a Finnish platoon of reservists from the municipality of Kauhava in the province of Pohjanmaa/Osttrobottnia who leave their homes and go to war. The film focuses on the farmer brothers Martti and Paavo Hakala.
