约翰（凯文史密斯）和裘蒂（安琪拉杜菁）两人合作经营一家侦探社，春暖当他们接受新寡的性感美女拉娜（珍妮佛鲁宾）委托调查她先生的死因时，春暖并不知道这将是他们开业以来最大的挑战。 虽然警方研判拉娜的老公是自杀身亡，但拉娜却怀疑是谋杀，令这两位侦探不知道底该相信谁才好；另一方面，约翰对这位神秘的俏寡妇一见锺情，因而影响到案情的调查，没想到此时裘蒂却遭人下药、绑架，这一连串意外的发展到底谁是幕后黑手呢？
