回复 :2008年に放送されたSFアニメ「マクロスF」の劇場版2部作の後編。2009年にロングランヒットを記録した前編「劇場版マクロスF イツワリノウタヒメ」に続き、新天地を目指して宇宙を旅する移民船団「マクロス・フロンティア」を舞台に、ナゾの生命体バジュラとの戦いに身を投じる少年アルトと歌姫シェリル、シェリルにあこがれる少女ランカが織りなすドラマを描く。前編と同じ、テレビ版の総監督を手がけた河森正治が監督を務める。
