橘晶（渡部纱弓 配音）拥有着一副冷淡的外表，宅男内心里却是和外表极不相称的天真和单纯。橘曾经是学校田径队的种子选手，宅男却因为种种意外而选择了退出。之后，橘来到了名为“GARDEN”的家庭餐馆打工，餐馆的老板是一个名叫近藤正己（平田广明 配音）的男人，他离过一次婚并且有一个孩子。 看上去邋里邋遢对什么都不在乎的近藤意外的吸引了橘的注意，渐渐的，橘无可救药的喜欢上了这个年长她28岁的男人。当这份炙热的感情再也无法隐藏之时，橘对近藤表白了，然而，换来的却是对方的拒绝。但橘并没有气馁，她选择以朋友的身份留在近藤的身边，怀揣着小小的期待，期待她如同雨季一样悠长的单恋能够迎来小小的晴天。
